As a follow-up to our Village Blacksmith in 2026 presentation on May 16th, the South Frontenac Museum is offering two local youth (between 14 and 17) the opportunity to participate in a workshop with master blacksmith, Stefan Duerst.
The students will spend the day learning blacksmithing techniques and create their own tool to take home.
The winner will be decided in September by a draw from the names of all nominated applicants.
The workshop will take place in November on a date to be determined.

Nominations must include:
Youth’s name, address, date of birth, parent’s name, parent’s phone number
name of nominator, nominator’s relationship to the student.
Parents must consent to photos/videos (used solely for promotional purposes for the museum). This information will not be shared or used for any other purpose than promotion of the South Frontenac Museum.
