Museum’s New Heritage Flower Garden

The South Frontenac Museum Heritage Flower Garden was started over the past three weeks with donations of time, energy and flowers from Andy Adamson,  Abbey Birdsell, Wilma Kenny, Ray Leonard, Ann McDougall, John McDougall, Brock Norman and Denise Tipton.

Thanks to you all!

To start our garden off, we planted echinacea, bergamot, shastas among others. These are plants that would have been commonly used and planted by settlers in our area. In the future, a vegetable garden installation will continue the theme, using veggies they would have planted in years gone by.

We are truly grateful for the donation of lumber from Atkinson Home Hardware, triple mix from McNicol's Sand and Gravel and fertilizer from Trousdale Home Hardware.
