South Frontenac Museum New Windows 2015 - 2019
All nine new sash windows were beautifully designed and fabricated in period style by David White, of D.J. White Restorations, 4557 Holleford Road, Hartington, Ontario K0H 1W0.
The total invoice for the six southern and eastern windows was $6,780.00. These windows were funded by donations to the Portland District and Area Heritage Society. The Society name was changed in 2019 to the South Frontenac Museum Society. David White installed these windows.
The Society also contributed $6000.00, which was matched by the Township of South Frontenac, for the $12 000.00 replacement of the three northern windows. The northern windows, also designed and fabricated by David White, were installed by the Township in 2019 by Matt Beauchamp of Wemp and Smith Construction, 4153 Road 38, Harrowsmith, ON K0H 1V0.
In 2019, the Society provided blinds for the south windows, installed by Jamie Brash, the Township’s Facilities Management Supervisor, and his staff.
