Follow the history and look at the faces of the young men who joined up to fight a war in order to get to see the world. The Museum has artifacts, photographs, and documents from local involvement in both World Wars, in Korea, and in the Boer War.
Our prize collection, though, is about the 146th Overseas Battalion, a unit of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF). Recruited from the counties of Frontenac and Lennox & Addington, these men answered the call of King and Country to serve in the First World War.
The collection includes an extensive collection of photographs, the complete roll, and many individual stories and records. This is the only public display of this information, carefully collected and exhibited by a few dedicated individuals at the South Frontenac Museum.
