The Museum recently received a photograph of the entire 146th Battalion, taken on September 5, 1916 during training at Valcartier, Quebec. The photo is almost seven feet long and eighteen inches high. The quality, lighting, and condition is a bit uneven, but most of these challenges can be solved with Photoshop and patience.
We will be doing more careful copying and enlarging of this treasure to support research and, we hope, matching of faces to the names on the roll. For now, six images that make up the entire photo are posted on this website.
Thanks to Doug Lovegrove for his continuing curatorship of the collection and to the Bath Museum for the loan of the original photo.
