This week's Frontenac News has a good article about the 2019 opening of the South Frontenac Museum.
It covers the motivations behind the current refresh of exhibits and even reports on some of my blue-sky thinking about possible futures for the museum.
The one thing that didn't get published quite right, is the misspelling of the word "provenance." The Oxford Dictionary defines provenance as: "a record of ownership of a work of art or an antique, used as a guide to authenticity or quality," which is what I was talking about.
Not sure if it was the reporting, the editing, or an over-zealous spell-checker, but the word was published as "providence." I couldn't claim that we are on a mission from God. It's not as if we were trying to get the band back together.
